There is a pragmatism that aims towards an ideal—which is more accurately called efficiency—and there is the pragmatism that finds an essence—which is the foundation of aesthetics.

What is the pragmatism in missing someone? Is it a process of distilling their essence? There being no result or product to this process, except a certainty that they brought you happiness.
