How do we find ourselves engulfed by the logic of Empire? Wedged in the long arc of our violent domestication left to feed off its fruits. The fruits that poison rather than nourish, The fruits that manipulate rather than connect, the fruits that will never fulfill our manufactured dreams of becoming, the fruits that demand exploitation to the point of collapse. Hypnotized by the illusion of power as control. Why did we bet on the myths of security instead of investing in the connections that actually feed us? What is needed to unleash the imagination out of the grip of white supremacy? If trauma is calcified vibration, then what is the process of decalcification? How do we vibrate ourselves out of this mass hypnosis? I know well what violence does to the psyche. How it tears the unconscious, often moving one to turn their world upside down, to rationalize the violence, to normalize the abuse at the cost of it all.
Como é que nos encontramos engolidos pela lógica do Império? Presas no longo arco da nossa violenta domesticação, deixadas para se alimentar dos seus frutos. Os frutos que envenenam em vez de alimentar, os frutos que manipulam em vez de conectar, os frutos que nunca realizarão os nossos sonhos fabricados de transformação, os frutos que exigem exploração até ao colapso. Hipnotizadas pela ilusão do poder como controlo. Porque apostámos nos mitos da segurança em vez de investir nas ligações que realmente nos alimentam? O que é necessário para libertar a imaginação das garras da supremacia branca? Se o trauma é a vibração calcificada, qual é o processo de descalcificação? Como é que nos vibramos fora desta hipnose em massa? Eu sei bem o que a violência faz à psique. Como rasga o inconsciente, movendo-o as vezes à virar o seu mundo de cabeça para baixo, à racionalizar a violência, à normalizar o abuso a todo o custo.
