“Each and every tangible thing is changed through human interaction, no matter how brief or unremarkable the encounter may be. In this new era, the Anthropocene, our impact as a species has reached a point where we have forever changed the physical makeup of our planet. My work is not meant as a statement of the environmental implications of our waste, but rather it is a study and reflection on society and culture as portrayed through these artifacts. In a time where people can sometimes feel so alienated from one another, I want to make art that reminds us of who we are together.”
